World Fair Visit

Dear Diary,
Today I just had the most marvelous day at the fair.  At the fair, you can anything imaginable.  I finally got my tooth pulled out.  The surgeons used this new anesthetic called ether.  I was not able to feel a thing, and for the rest of the day, I was able to prance around, eating and talking, while feeling perfectly normal.  For lunch, I had a gigantic steak.  It was a porterhouse, and it was 2 dollars which is a lot of money!  I also ate a gigantic thing of cotton candy.  This was the first time that I had eaten cotton candy.  It felt like strings of wool in your mouth, but it melted like butter and tasted like sugar with flavoring.  It was splendid!  I shared it with my friend, Jeff, and he loved it as well.  During the afternoon, I rode a bunch of bicycles.  There was a whole section in the faire dedicated to bicycles.  There were bicycles of all different colors and sizes, and it was hard to choose which one I wanted to ride.  I finally settled on a large, red one that the people at the booth called a Draisene.  Even though it was my 2nd time riding a bicycle, the Draisene was very easy to ride and the pedals were soft to push.  I was able to tour the whole faire on the bicycle.  I sampled oysters, exotic cheeses, and many other snacks and drinks like Dr. Pepper which was interestingly made in Texas.  That was when I left to go eat dinner with my parents.  All in all, I had a great time at the faire.
